Skin-Boosters are versatile treatments that can be used:

• For men and women of all skin 

• For people with younger or more mature skin

The longevity of each skin booster treatment can vary depending on each brand, the skin quality and whether the treatment is maintained over a period. 

However, skin boosters typically can last anywhere from six to twelve months as a minimum, depending on varying factors.

Hyaluronic acid (HA) skin boosters and hyaluronic acid (HA) Dermal Fillers are not the same product despite both injectables containing Hyaluronic Acid (HA) as the main ingredient. The two treatments are also not interchangeable when it comes to offering skin ageing treatments as they behave in different ways. 

Because Skinboosters are so versatile, they can be used to treat the hands, lips, neck and décolletage as well as the face. During your initial consultation, you will be able to talk to the doctors about which areas you would like to see improvements in, to create a personalised treatment plan.

Following the treatment, you may experience some slight redness or minor bruising around the treatment areas, this should subside after a few days, but in some cases bruising may last for up to 2 weeks. A clean cooling pad can be used after the treatment to help reduce swelling, but avoid applying make-up on your skin immediately after the treatment. After a rest of about 24 hours, if needed, you can use light make-up to cover any redness or bruising. You should also avoid excessive sun or extreme cold at least until any initial swelling/redness resolves

Prior to treatment you should avoid alcohol for 24 hours to avoid increasing the risk of bleeding, as alcohol thins the blood. You should also avoid using skincare actives for two days prior to your appointment, these include retinols and AHA/BHA acids. 

In short, yes! Skin booster treatments can be combined with dermal filler treatments or anti-ageing injections in the same treatment plan. Best practice is to wait two weeks between treatments, to allow the skin to heal and the filler or skin booster to settle. However, multiple treatments can be performed in the same session if different areas are being injected.
